Detail of a custom wall and ceiling mosaic for a bathroom in a private home. The homeowners' vision for the home is to "feel like we're on vacation every day." So I took inspiration from the Mediterranean Sea, using beautiful aquas, teals, periwinkles, and indigos.

Borrowing from 2 of my favorite masterpieces, The Great Wave Off Kanagawa by Hokusai, and The Starry Night by Vincent VanGogh, this mosaic installation draws the eye along the crashing waves, and through the swirling skies.

To create this mosaic, I used stained glass, vitreous glass tile, mirror, beach glass, glass gems, and a vintage Czech glass button.
